Adam S. Greenberg, M.D., FAAD

Board Certified Dermatologist - MOHS Surgery

Since 2001, Dr. Adam Greenberg has been the go-to dermatologist in Venice and North Port. He leads the Sunshine State Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in North Port and Venice, Florida, serving patients across Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.

Dr. Greenberg is a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon, with a wide range of expertise from skin cancer detection and surgery to treating a wide range of skin diseases and cosmetic dermatology.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, Dr. Greenberg attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He earned his medical degree in 1992. Dr. Greenberg interned at Hahnemann University Hospital, later serving a two-year fellowship in dermatology wound healing at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Miami in 1998.

Throughout his education and career, Dr. Greenberg has been acknowledged for his academic excellence and is widely published in peer-reviewed journals. Our team is committed to being a partner in your patients’ health so if your patient has any skin concerns, we are here to diagnose and treat them with care and expertise. Our goal is to help you maintain healthy, beautiful skin.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Greenberg contributes to the academic community as a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology. His role in academia reflects his dedication to advancing the field of dermatology and mentoring the next generation of dermatologists.

Jessica Wyckoff, DNP,APRN,FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Jessica is a nurse practitioner who was personally trained by Dr. Greenberg and is well versed in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology. She graduated from Florida State University with her Doctorate in Nursing and is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Dermatology Nurses’ Association.

Her experience in cosmetic dermatology includes acne and acne scars treatment, BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Juvéderm®, and Restylane® Dermal Fillers. She is also experienced in advanced laser and device procedures, including Lumenis M22 IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and VBeam.

Alyssa Thayer, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Alyssa Thayer is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over six years of clinical experience specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthier skin through personalized, evidence-based care. Alyssa believes in building strong relationships with her patients, grounded in trust, education, and compassion.

Alyssa provides a wide range of dermatological services, including full-body skin exams, skin biopsies, and surgical excisions. She treats patients of all ages and is experienced in managing various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, rashes, and more. Whether it's prescribing biologics or addressing other dermatological concerns, Alyssa is committed to assisting you with your skin health journey.

As a lifelong resident of Southwest Florida, Alyssa is proud to serve the community she has always called home. She earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and completed her graduate nursing degree at the University of South Florida.

Ilona Peck

Esthetician

Ilona is a Licensed Esthetician with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals achieve their skincare goals. With a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to patient well-being, Ilona brings a unique blend of expertise to the team at Sunshine State Dermatology.

Her journey in the world of skincare began with a deep fascination for the science behind healthy, radiant skin. Ilona understands that every individual's skin is unique, and she takes pride in tailoring her approach to meet specific needs. Her desire is to use her professional knowledge, personal experience, and passion in helping each patient achieve optimal results.

Since 2001, Dr. Adam Greenberg has been working to provide the best dermatological care for patients in the Venice and North Port area.

Dr. Greenberg is the medical director and president of the Sunshine State Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, located in the beautiful community of North Port on the west coast of Florida. We proudly offer comprehensive dermatological care to patients throughout Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.

Dr. Greenberg is a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon specializing in all aspects of skincare, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. His professional areas of interest are widespread, including skin cancer detection and treatment, psoriasis therapies, skin care, acne and rosacea treatment, eczema, and contact dermatitis. Dr. Greenberg has years of expertise in skin cancer detection and treatment, focusing on surgical therapies, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
